JTA CONNECTION AND AMH-SYSTEMS MERGE

23.08.2020

JTA Connection Oy and Finnish material handling project supplier AMH-Systems signed an agreement on business combination on Friday 15 May 2020. With the merger, AMH-Systems will become a subsidiary of JTA Connection. Despite the current situation in the world is exceptional and volatile, JTA Connection believes in the future.

- JTA Connection Oy's culture is characterized by courage, innovation and a desire to develop. This merger is again another indication of this. Right now, Finland needs pioneers and those who do not retreat to the wind in the storm of the turbulent economy, but rather dare to build something new and strive for better, says Olli Välimäki, D.Sc.

JTA Connection and AMH-Systems have been cooperating on automation projects for a long time, and the companies' areas of expertise complement each other. AMH-Systems, which specializes in conveyor solutions, is a strong player in the paper, brewing, food and other packaging industries. JTA, an expert in machine automation and robotics, is a well-known expert in industrial production automation, for example in the engineering industry. The merger will create synergy benefits in project deliveries, strengthen the expertise of the new JTA Connection and diversify the customer base. There are no overlapping customer relationships, so the entity is stronger and larger than the sum of its factors. In the future, JTA Connection will be able to deliver more comprehensive solutions for the automation of industrial production. Automation is a fast-growing and evolving field, with JTA Connection at the forefront, thanks to both its technical know-how and customer orientation.

The acquisition was an important solution for AMH-Systems, as there was some change ahead in any case.

- It was time for our significant shareholder to retire, and no substitute for his work was found in close circle. For us, this is the best possible solution. Our staff will certainly have a lot to give to the new JTA, especially in terms of mechanical design and engineering. Combining these with JTA's automation expertise, youthful work community and international operating environment creates a great foundation for the future, says Arto Lammila, who has been the CEO of AMH-Systems for 15 years.

In the future, JTA Connection's range of services and solutions will be exceptionally comprehensive in Finland. The company's strategy includes a clear goal of becoming Finland's largest supplier of industrial automation. With the recent arrangement, the JTA Connection Group's annual turnover will rise to the EUR 20 million range. The future strategy also includes the goal of significantly increasing the share of exports in the business. The growth is also reflected in the significant expansion of JTA Connection's nearly two thousand square meters of business premises.

- With these shoulders and new, larger spaces, it is easy to set out to conquer the world. We see, for example, Sweden and Russia as particularly interesting markets, in which direction the first game moves have already been made, summarizes Timo Ahonen, CEO of JTA Connection.

JTA Connection Oy is a Tampere-based, full-service industrial automation house that started operations in 2002. JTA Connection also includes the subsidiary JTA Machines Oy, located in Porvoo, which has focused on demanding industrial special machine solutions.
